do you know where tofu comes from? its all made of soy. what do you need to grow soybeans for a profit you can use to function in today's society. alot of land. what happens when the land is used up and we still need more soy? something has to be cleared.
that soy is processed so much that you wouldnt be able to recognise it anymore. plus, youre still not getting the adequate protien that you need for your body to properly function ans (for kids and teens) develop.
at least we use most of the cow. various parts are eaten, and others are sold do science companies to be dicscected. with soy, you take the beans and the rest of the plant sits and rots.

yes, if you ate only meat, that wouldnt be a very healthy diet. the same goes with plants. protien is essential for proper cell development, DNA synthesis, and cell division. cellulose, which is found in plants and makes up most of them, cannot be digested and serve as a substitue. its like putting water in your car's engine and expecting something to happen.Actually, thats wrong. If you go by what the experts say you have a much healthier diet if you don't eat meat. You get all the needed proteins from tofu and you don't have to kill anything.
"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are reared" Mahatma Ghandhi
I don't think North America is doing so good there........but at least Illinois got one step closer to treating its animals better.

not killing anything? if you really want to think about it that way, what about all of the bugs that are killed from pesticides? you can't feed a nation of 300 million on organic food. there isnt enough room. that leasds to my next point. how many acres of forest and prarie need to be cleared to plant and harvest those vegetables? and what about the occasional deer or rabbit that gets hit by the trucks that bring the food over?
Ghandi also said that "You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty" and "One's own religion is after all a matter between oneself and one's Maker and no one else's".
