They don't. I have a vegetarian friend who is a bit overweight, and I've packed on some pounds myself in the past couple of years (I'm not really vegetarian, as I only eat fish/seafood from time to time), although I was underweight for a while.
Ok there is an exception or two to every rule.
I'm not whining, I'm presenting reasonable arguments. You seem to not want to heat any argument other than your own- I don't understand the hostility and defensiveness. However, it takes a lot MORE land to keep the cattle, plus the land we use to grow grain to feed to the cattle, than it does to grow fruits and vegetables. That's not being hypocritical at all.
No this thread was started about a law, all the pro animal/peta types started in on why we shouldn't eat horses, which makes no sence to me since they are just meat. BTW you ever hear about cattle grazing, that is what people do on good land, they only grain feed for suppliment and in the winter, where as you have to grow enough vegies for people to eat year round, unless you go on a major diet half the year.
Again, sorry others' opinions differ from your own, but that doesn't make them (or me) mindless sheep. Why do you feel the need to attack people?
No it's fine that others opinions vary from mine why is it not okay if I eat horses, cows, or furry little bunnies?? Why do finatics have to throw blood on people for wearing leater, it is makeing use of otherwise wasted animal parts?? Why do non-meat eaters always try to tell me that meat is bad??? I could care less what you eat or how it is made/killed/cooked, all I care about is what I eat so why must those of us that are true to nature and eat the foods we are made to eat (remember we are omnivors, funny how you had no responce to that) always get the riot act from you fruit freaks???
