Well, 48 hours since I setup my pressurized CO2 system, my pH has gone from 7.6 to 6.6. I think that's what you are pretty much shooting for, right? 1 point drop in pH is 30ppm.

I need to watch the night CO2 - I am running it 24/7.

Here's the wierd thing - I am running about 1bps and only using a powered diffuser from Red Sea. How 'bout that?

Which diffuser is it? Do you have a link? That's quite efficient if it is indeed 1bps. I haven't read of any reactor/diffuser that works that well.

There's no reason not to run it 24/7 as it makes it to where your plants don't have to wait for the correct CO2 level when the lights come on. The less fluctuation the better in my opinion.

Well, I set this up on Thursday afternoon. I am running CO2 24/7 in a tank with a KH of 4. So far the pH has been 6.6 (30ppm CO2) each morning at 8am, 6.6 at noon, ~6.8 (17ppm CO2) in the middle of the afternoon, and about 7.0 (12 ppm) at lights out around 9pm.

This was sort of what I expected as the day went on, but hey, I'm new to pressurized CO2. Does this seem OK?

I'm pretty sure he has a cylinder and regulator, was just saying he is using the "powered diffuser" from the yeast system previously in use.

I guess that was the point of my post. My morning reading is 6.6 pH which is about 30ppm CO2. My concern was getting too high of a CO2 reading during the night. Do you think that I can turn it up a bit and still have the fish OK overnight?
