I'm curious as to what the fish load is on most planted tanks. Please specify if you are using CO2 and which type.

110 gallon
Pressurized CO2

Fish:
11 Otos (probably 10 after the way one was acting earlier)
14 tiny albino ancistrus (getting moved once they grow a bit)
male pearl gourami
female albino kribensis
3 praecox rainbows
3 red irian rainbows
blue/turquoise rainbow
5 auratus pencilfish
3 clown loaches
2 SAEs
-------------
44 fish total

75g tank. DIY jello co2.

11.5" albino channel
5" Oscar
4" Pbass
3" Royal farlowella

11 Amazon swords, 1 ozelot sword, 1 anubias nana 'petite'
1.6 wpg

Just curious as to why your asking about fish load?

I'm a bit overstocked by most opinions...
75G heavily planted, pressurized co2, 4 T8's overdriven 2X

Loaches: 5 clowns, 8 striata, 2 yoyo, 3 dojo (yeah I know, clowns will be getting bigger tank, yoyo's going in coolwater tank blah blah...) :silly:
Others: 5 neons, handfull of guppies (not sure, between 6-12), 1 rainbow shark, 1 unkown rainbowfish (the only rainbow survivor from a co2 mishap), 5 serpae tetras, 6 SAE's... think thats most of em. And I still have to dose nitrate.

55 planted / bog wood
no CO2
coarse sand substrate
AC 70 and fluval 4
2x 65W for 2.3 WPG CFL
3 australian rainbows
2 yo yos
2 SAE
6 red tail rasbora
3 bolivian rams
6 peppered cories
1 killifish
1 ruberlip pleco
1 bristle nose pleco
2 wood shrimp

I'm asking about fish load because I was testing my CPR overflow and ViaAqua pump with a 20 gallon sump on my planted tank and turned off the CO2. The fish displayed improved behaviour in a matter of minutes after I turned on the pump. I'm thinking of moving most of the fish out of the planted tank into a 75 I have and see how they do without the CO2.

75g

29g
GUPPIES, 3 kuhlii loaches DIY co2 with diffuser

1 Betta NO co2

all my tanks are planted ;)

Interesting. So I assume then your thinking some fish are more sensative to co2/o2 levels and trying to see who else is running what fish in thier co2 injected tanks. I can tell you that some fish are sensative to high co2 levels, though I dont have a comprehensive list or anything (as well as most fish obviously sensative to low o2). But... I find it hard to beleive the levels would significantly change in a matter of minutes. In my tank I have a strong enough filtration that I get ripples in the surface, along with an extra powerhead at the surface at night... and I dont see a significant drop in co2 levels for those 14 hrs the co2 is off.
I'd suspect they were probably just noticing the change in flow in the tank or perhaps a stronger current? Was the water any cooler coming from the sump? I have a big circulation pump in my tank (Koralia 4) and when I first turned it on I noticed a huge change in behavior of several fish in my tank. Just an idea for an alternate reason for ya.

100 gal. Pressurized CO2 with lots of plants. About 70 tetras (biggest are bleeding hearts and smallest are cardinals), 10 Otos, 5 rams, and 2 angels.
