NEED INFO ON Melanoides granifera. Snails

HI ENCLOSED IS A PICTURE OF THIS SNAIL .NOT SURE IF IT IS THE SAME
AS Melanoides granifera. NEED INFO GOOD FOR PLANTED TANK?
DUE THEY MULTIPLY LIKE CRAZY , NUSIANCE?

The picture you attached is of Melanoides tuberculata, the Malaysian Trumpet Snail. M. Granifera is virtually the same, but grows a wider shell.

Both are good for planted tanks, but do multiply easily.
 
I wouldn't have a planted tank without them. Even if I just had a sand substrate tank and lots of rock work I'd want them. They stir the sand and will get any food that gets trapped in crevices.

They don't become a nuisance unless you overfeed the tank. They're fantastic for stirring the gravel.
