Why, Doug? You should hope so! If it happened, then you could possibly have stumbled a cross a BN species that can change gender as needed, based on the population and reproductive need. Can you imagine the gold mine that would be?

I hadn't mentioned it. :)

And if they start changing gender...there will be no way to control their numbers. They'll spawn and spawn again and fill every drop of water with little squirming bristlenoses!

I wonder if my albinos will be ready to spawn soon. Out of 6 I think 4 of them are male. I can see tiny bristles, but I was told that females can develop small ones too.

Well I decided to bring this thread back because they have grown a lot. Do you guys still think they are just brown? Also how can I get them to stop munching on my sword.

This is a picture of the most dominant male and he's the biggest.

The second one is of the female:

The last one is the less dominant male:

Wow! Yours are bristled up nicely.

Mine never has developed bristles or colored up very well. I can say that her fins are really pretty though.

Thanks I love the look of long fin. Yours have awesome fins. Mines are short fin. I currently have 2 males and 1 female. I have albino long fins as well 2 females and 1 male. It's hard to get pictures of my albinos be 2 of them are a pair and they always hide. The dominant male is just mean lol.

Here is my long fin female:

This is the male. He has a bind in his fin.:
