I'm considering a W/D sump, it'll be DIY and since it's a glass tank I'll be using a PVC overflow. My question is the adhesive. What, if any, concerns are there as to the potential toxicity of the glue?

Thanks in advance.

Once cured, PVC solvent (glue) is safe for use in the aquarium. I like to wait 24 hours before using the parts after rinsing in running water.

I use Oatey PVC primer 1st and then the PVC cement. It's the only brand I have ever used.

If it's rated for home potable systems, you will be okay.

Yep. I've used it in SW reef tanks with no concerns. It dries quickly, I've had to glue and use within an hour and never had a problem.
