hello i just purchased a clown pleco today and it its about 1-1.5 inches in length but it appears to have whitish stuff on its body especially near the dorsal fin. Can anybody help identify what it is? and if it is harmful how to treat it?IMG_20171206_211801.jpg

Hard to tell. I agree it doesn't look normal, but it might just be sloughing off slime coating. Give it a day?

Hopefully it's just a wound from where it came from?

Perhaps keep up on your water changes to speed healing.
