What is considered "heavily planted"?

This is my 55g I described above. Every one of these plants were plastic tube or bag plants that were in bad shape when I bought them (on sale). No specific ferts or CO2 added. Chunky black gravel with some colors mixed in. I don't gravel vac. Tank gets a weekly 25-30gal water change.
Wow that is a really healthy looking tank you've got there! Having basic gravel I'd imagine not gravel vaccing is proving to be beneficial ;)

These are beautiful. You have to keep eye on them and need to take care of them.

I consider my aquarium to be moderately planted, the reason being I do need to add fertilizer but it is not completely filled with plants. I have had aquariums with less plants in them that require no additional fertilizer or CO2, I call these lightly planted.Screenshot_20180109-203236.jpg
