I’ve had this snail for almost a year now. Some one gave it to me from a pond, so I put it into a small container. (I know, I know it’s sort of abuse.:() Anyways, I’ve left him in my windowsill so algae can grow for him to eat. He was doing fine and was very interactive. Unfortunately, It seems that he has disappeared from his shell. Also, there are bubbles in the tank that look to be made from algae, covering the top of his container, and coming from his shell. If anyone can help it would be AMAZING!!

Welcome!

That's an interesting bucket-o-pond goodness you've got going there. Without changing water in that container, the snail most likely died and decomposed. Those are gas bubbles and probably smell nasty.

Agreed. Bubbles could be oxygen too. Algae is pretty good at producing O2 when it's happy and a dead snail meal and direct sunlight makes happy algae.
