Keep us posted!

I'd keep mystery snails again if I was equipped to. They're funny to watch when they float foot up at the surface for food, or when they "fly" down from the surface. They move along FAST as well. When I first kept them 4-5yrs ago, I didn't have an ideal setup for them so I could feed them properly and/or had fish in with them that would pick at their eyes or bodies. The dozen or so I had remaining died off one by one.

I have just as much fun watching the snails as I do my fish! So far, my fish don’t bother the snails very much. I have been checking on them once a day and they are looking good so far. They definitely are not quite so dry now. I hope they hatch!

So it has been 8 days since my first clutch of mystery snail eggs was laid. I now have another clutch that I removed from the glass today. The 2 clutches look way different (at the time they were laid). I am starting to think that the first one was not fertile. Here is a picture of the 2 clutches today. The light colored one is the new clutch. Opinions on the first one? I know they can take a couple of weeks to hatch but I am not seeing much change at all.

It's been a long while since I hatched eggs but I think they looked very different and perfectly on par. The first clutch got that cloudy mold look that usually means they are fertile, hopefully the second one will too. But that is a lot of future babies lol

Well, the first clutch was not fertile. The second clutch is at day 8 and it may have some fertile eggs in it. It is starting to get white looking in spots. We will just have to see, I guess.

My second clutch was mostly infertile but there are at least 6 viable snail babies! I will be watching for more to move around throughout the day!

I also woke up to a HUGE (at least compared to my other 2) egg sack this morning. Hopefully, it will be completely fertile!

Clutch #3 was amazing! I am so excited to see these little ones grow! It took about 11 days before they started looking “moldy.” I was afraid it was another infertile or almost infertile clutch. I am so glad it wasn’t!

Sweet! Look at all of them! You might want to take a break from incubating now though, you'll be drowning in babies soon. lol Keep us updated please.
