Are you following the test procedure and shaking the nitrate reagent and then test tube for the required time?

I've kept Rams with Discus before because they do tend to like the high temps. If you go at least 84 you should be able to keep the ich at bay. If for some reason you really have continued issues you could always run a UV light with a power head.
