What type of loach are you thinking about?

...most of your bio load is based upon what you use to feed your fish, which leads into another topic. Read the labels on your fish foods. The first 3-4 ingredients should be all good stuff. No grain products or fillers.

Ill over-research this like I do everything else, but just to get things goingand avoid a new thread,can someone recomend 1 or 2 foods that are a reasonable compromise between cost and quality that I can get on amazon or in stores at petco or petsmart.

Actual last question, I decided it better to start with a non-schooling fish so theres no pressure to add fish fast.

My pH is 6.9, hardness is "medium" dH around 12. (other fish are 3 Bolivian rams or 2 apistos, 6 golden zebra loaches, 8 skirt tetras, 3 honey gourami or thick lipped gourami).

Im looking for a slow and hardy fish that is slightly smaller than all the other fish on my list to make the gourami not feel intimidated. Seems like my parameters are too low for pattys can I get some other recommendations
