    My new shrimp adventure

So a month or two ago, I bought some red cherry shrimp and put them in a tank. Good. They didn't breed. :( Then I bought some snails in the tank so that they would eat the leftover food. Good. Then I did a water change one day, and my shrimp acted weird and just laid on the bottom of the...

It's been about 3 weeks since I got my red cherry shrimp and they are happy and everything. Almost everyday I have spent some ungodly amount of time just staring into the tank. And I mean just STARING. I rest my head on the table and just watch them swim around. I really want them to breed...

A couple more recipes for snail food

Are calcium pills just from the supermarket ok for snails and inverts to consume? I looked on the back of all the pills and they had all different ingredients and I didn't want them to be harmful to my inverts.

    What to stock?

My dad is coming home with two, he says, very big tanks. I am going to guess they are at LEAST 75g each. Do any of you have any ideas what I could stock it with? They are long tanks not tall.

How to make my CRS thrive?

I would say give them a little while and don't add any more shrimp for a while to reduce amount of ammonia spikes. I would see if you could raise the ph to around 7-7.2 because shrimp like the ph a little higher and less acidic. I have red cherry shrimp and I wonder when they will breed but I am...

How to make my CRS thrive?

Beautiful tank, by the way. Have you checked the copper levels of your tank? Are you sure all of the CRS are adults? Do you have males AND females? I know these are basic questions but all good to know.

Red cherry shrimp, brigg snails, and zebra danios.

I think your snails will be fine. They have a shell, maybe get some form of calcium for them to keep them nice and hard. Any fish will most likely the shrimp. I had that same problem. I started with 24 shrimp and I'm down to 10. :( If you get more shrimp they should have their own tank. I...
