Are calcium pills just from the supermarket ok for snails and inverts to consume? I looked on the back of all the pills and they had all different ingredients and I didn't want them to be harmful to my inverts.

I would say give them a little while and don't add any more shrimp for a while to reduce amount of ammonia spikes. I think your snails will be fine. They have a shell, maybe get some form of calcium for them to keep them nice and hard. Any fish will most likely the shrimp. I had that same problem. I started with 24 shrimp and I'm down to 10. :( If you get more shrimp they should have their own tank. I...
