Here, this should help: If I were you, I'd switch to a small sponge filter instead. UGF's are incredibly dirty, imo. a bunch of food and feces gets stuck underneath the plates and you'll never be able to reach them.

IMO, riccia is really messy. Those three circles of riccia might eventually become one giant clump or a dozen smaller ones. Other floating plants like duckweed and salvinia will eventually takeover your tank's entire surface area. Have you considered banana plants or pennywort?

Livebearers can store sperm also. So once hit, they can continue to have fry even when no male is present in the tank.

I don't think any livebearer is hard to breed lol. They don't seem anymore expensive than tiger endlers. I paid $30+ for my tigers.
