If you want the best chance of success, use sisters that were raised together in the same tank since birth. Have had the same experience as catherine from the post above.
It's still not ideal, but if you can get him to do daily water changes with the betta you'll know it's at least getting better treatment and space than it would at a petstore.
Haha, I've been meaning to remove it. I might try another spawn next spring if something off aquabid catches my eye. You guys should check out the classifieds on ultimatebetta.com. I got the mother of this spawn from there.
General rule is, if it's small enough to fit in any of your fish's mouth, it's small enough to get eaten. However, I've found that most of my livebearers will eat newly born fry but will leave alone larger fry.
Can anyone confirm that what I have is water wisteria? All the pictures I see of this plant look very similar but just slightly off. Mine seems to have much broader leaves.

So I bought a pot of anubias from petco today and noticed it had some "baby" plants in the pot as well. I read that anubias grows faster above water, so I've decided to grab an empty 2.5 gallon and put about an inch or two of water in it and a 15w light above and see how it does. I also have...
Have a bad knee or else I would have at least considered it by now. Just passed all four CPA exams (each exam has a 50% pass rate, less than 30% pass all four on the first try). I passed all four on the first attempt and I'm still haven't found a job. Just gotta stay optimistic and trust...

If you've never had an aquarium on your desk before, I suggest the smaller 2.5 than a 5g. I once had a whole 10g on my desk in...
The real problem comes when buyers exist that know how to game the system. For example, you send out a brand new Iphone to a buyer with proper delivery and signature confirmation. The buyer then switches it with his old nokia from 1999 and says the item is significantly not as described. The...
I did the research before getting my severum, and like the op, found most forums/sites saying that a 55g is fine for a single severum. Most severums rarely reach 12", with the majority maxing out at 10". Females stay even smaller.
I was looking into the Kodak Playsport ZX5 before I decided to sell my camera and buy a higher end point and shoot instead. It goes for $109 on Amazon. I hear some good things about the Flip UltraHD also but the Playsport has a better zoom/macro for shooting fish...
Yup, that's definitely a severum. Looks exactly like my little bugger I got a few weeks ago. For some reason, finding a severum in my area wasn't easy either. Took me weeks to finally track one down.
A fat sandwich is a sub filled with anything and everything that can clog your arteries. There are many different kinds, but the most famous is the Fat Darrell (if you can eat 5 within a certain time limit you get a sandwich named after you).

Good luck sir. I graduated from Rutgers last year and the most popular food places served fat sandwiches, pizza, wings, and of course, those chinese take-out places that deliver at midnight :perv:.
I have had very good results with the following setup with regards to keeping a single betta:
2.5g tank from petsmart, no substrate
Red Sea Deco Art Nano Filter stuffed with an aquaclear media sponge cut to fit the media compartment
