The one we have now is a Price Pfister ..... She has already informed me I have to replace it with another Price Pfister that looks pretty much the same but can have the seperate sprayer... I gave around $100 for the one we have now a year ago...guess I better start digging deep in my pockets...

I have removed the aerator and it is an odd size (much bigger than the Python adaptor) I have even took both pieces to a few different hardware stores with no luck finding an adaptor.... So I am just going to get a new faucet with a seperate sprayer and standard size end to fix the issue.

I agree... Hook to faucet...adjust water temp as close to tank temp as you can ( i use a spare thermometer just for this)...turn the bottom of the Python adaptor to the fill position... add enough of your dechlorinator (Prime is what I use)for the total number of gallons your tank holds to the...

I dont think all stores will honor other sites prices anyway...so it may not really matter. You should print out the $105 price one too from their site incase they wont even honor the Big Al's price as it will still save you a pretty good amount of $$$

Ok... I have the same problem with the faucet in my kitchen...It has the pullout type sprayer that comes out of the faucet and I cant screw my Python in it either...... I have to run it into the bathroom to a faucet it will screw in to. But I will remedy this soon as I will replace the kitchen...

I was thinking this too... I know last time I pricematched at Petsmart the manager never looked for any date...if there was even one on there.

I think you were going to get a XP3 filter if I remember correctly....just a heads up if you were going to get it from Big Al's... I noticed today they are no longer $89 ....They went up to $139 :( ... Petsmart has them online for $105 so you may have to go this route and pricematch their online...

Looks like a standard size to me.... My Python came with the brass adaptor. Do you already have a Python and it wont screw in or are you asking before you go buy one??

Water changes have virtually no effect on prolonging a cycle as most of the good bacteria resides in the filter media,substrate and any decorations in the tank.... Priority one is to keep your fish safe and healthy during the cycle...Do however many water changes it takes to keep ammonia and...

Also be sure to keep an eye on your nitrites and keep them under .25ppm until the tank has fully cycled. This may involve doing water changes everyday until ammonia and nitrites stay at 0ppm How long have you been cycling the tank...and how was it cycled...with fish or adding another source...

Do a water change now....atleast 50% and then keep an eye on it everyday and do any water changes needed to keep the ammonia under .25ppm

I agree with the bacterial bloom theory..... Mine has done this before after a good gravel vac and rinsing my filters in tank water.... It only lasted for a day or two and was gone.The bacteria was playing catchup I guess and made the water alittle cloudy.
