Attaching 2 Pieces of Driftwood to Eachother?

Some type of glue is really the only option. A screw at the connection points would end up breaking the pieces (it's really an awkward connection). I read about someone using an epoxy that was rated safe for drinking water, so I'm going to see if I can find some of that.

    Centerpiece Plant for 15 gallon

So I'm doing a semi-large rescape of my 15 gallon planted and I have all the plants planned out except one. I need a centerpiece plant, so keep that in mind. The plan is this (floor plan picture below): In the center, about 1/3 way back (4-5 inches from front of glass) there will be this...

Attaching 2 Pieces of Driftwood to Eachother?

some type of glue is really the only option due to the orientation and shape of the pieces of wood. I was thinking of trying silicone but I wasn't sure if it'd stick to wood real well. If you can find that link I'd be very grateful :)

My 10 gallon planted with shrimp needs help.

I don't know if this has been answered yet (quickly skimmed over the posts, didn't see it) - what is that red plant off to the left. Some type of crypt? It's exactly the type of plant I'm looking for for the rescape I'm going to be doing :)

Attaching 2 Pieces of Driftwood to Eachother?

Any suggestions on how one would go about doing this? I was thinking maybe some type of aquarium safe marine epoxy, but I don't know if that exists.

Pipe Thread Tape between Regulator and CO2 Tank?

well that's disconcerting. i absolutely cannot tighten it any more. hrm

Pipe Thread Tape between Regulator and CO2 Tank?

There is a gasket seal, which is working fine. I'm not talking about the side of the nut that the regulator is on, I'm talking about the side that the tank is one. So, what i mean is, on the actual threads of the CO2 tank, where it threads into the nut that connects the CO2 tank to the...

Pipe Thread Tape between Regulator and CO2 Tank?

So I isolated one of the leaks (between the regulator itself and the tube that connects the regulator to the CO2 tank), went through spraying down the rest of the connections and for the most part everything seems ok. I'm seeing a very small amount of bubbles on the output of the CO2 tank...

15g too small for some kuhlis?

Thanks so much :D I've thought about asking a store to order me fish (there's been a few times where no one has what I'm looking for), but figured they'd refuse to order only a handful. Can't hurt to ask though

15g too small for some kuhlis?

Yeah the people at Wet Pets are great. Animal city's conditions are "meh" at best, and downright bad sometimes. I've never bought fish from petco either but couldn't think of anything else that might be near buckland mall. I'll call around I guess, won't be getting them until after the holidays.

15g too small for some kuhlis?

I'm actually at UConn (which is in Storrs, which is exit 68 on I84. Manchester is exit 62). I usually got to a fish store in Vernon called Wet Pets because I've never had any health issues from them (unlike animal city, also in vernon). There is a petco near buckland hills mall. Did you go...

15g too small for some kuhlis?

I'd probably put in some surface dwellers as well (which I know will violate the all-mighty fish length / gallon rule), but I haven't decided that yet. Every time I see these guys though I think I want to get some. And that's what I was thinking. I read several places saying 20g is minimum...

15g too small for some kuhlis?

I'm doing pretty much a complete restock and I have my eye on these cool little guys. Would a 15g planted be too small for a group of them though?

Evolution in pics of 55 gal.

Very nice. I've been meaning to make a similar thread for my 15 gallon planted, seeing as it looks absolutely nothing like it did when it started (and I'm getting ready for another rescape lol). 'Tis the nature of planted tanks :grinyes:

    Do I have a CO2 leak?

I'm running a pressurized CO2 system on my 15 gallon planted consisting of a 2.5lb CO2 tank, Victor regulator, Milwaukee solenoid, Swagelok metering valve, and a JBJ bubble counter. I replaced the CO2 tank just over a month ago and it's already down to about 150psi (started at 1000psi). The...

Plant Similar to Crypt Spiralis but Shorter?

I have some dwarf sag in the tank. Some has grown up to the water's surface, other pieces have stayed at about 3-4 inches  Those ferns look nice. :)

Plant Similar to Crypt Spiralis but Shorter?

It doesn't need to necessarily look like spiralis. More concerned about finding a semi broad leaf (thicker than a normal hairgrass type plant but thinner than an amazon sword leaf, hence why spiralis attracted me) plant that won't get too tall but will be tall enough to act as a background plant.

Plant Similar to Crypt Spiralis but Shorter?

I got a bunch of crypt spiralis and retrospiralis a while back for my 15g planted without knowing how tall they would get. Needless to say, they are much too tall. They've grown to the surface of the water and then span the length of the tank (floating on the top). My dwarf hairgrass is not a...
