    A banana a day

the platy did, and the snails and black worms. I just tried it recently. I don't know if the gourami, cory or khulis ate any or the neons, or the otos. The only one I saw eating it was the platy, it seemed very happy (it was kinda wrestling with it lol). I only used 1/3 of an 1/8" slice, peeled...

    New filter raises temperature???

hmmm... I will have to check on this to be certain. I don't think so, but the tv is kinda near... but I don't use it often (it's analog watching doesn't do much good lol). It's worth checking the next time it's on, but that's not a daily thing so it couldn't be the regular culprit (I'd already...

    A banana a day

I know this is an old post, but it's a good one so I'm bringing it back up. Also, the potassium is now shown to reduce your sodium absorption. Now, just coat the banana with peanut butter and chocolate syrup.... :grinyes:

maybe I should use the leaf clip for the skin and just have it seperate? That way everyone has their food where they like it.

    banana for these fish??

That's what I was thinking. I might try leaving on some peel next time if this test goes well. I suppose the snails might like the skin?

    banana for these fish??

update: The platy was eagerly wrestling with it when I checked on them last. Gourami was nearby so she might have been eating it too, but she saw me coming and moved. Snails are going to town!

    banana for these fish??

Won't that just put miniscule pieces in the water column? My gourami an platy like to tear into their food ya know? For fry I would understand what your saying, but is it really necessary for much larger fish?

    New filter raises temperature???

the filter feels ok. It's the same light fixture I've been using for the past...5? months. When it had a stead temp of 78-80 it was the same light fix. That's why I was kinda thinking better circulation... maybe? Perhaps there were warmer spots before and I just had no way to detect them...

    New filter raises temperature???

Hello! I'm going to start from the beginning, so bear with me please :) . Last year I had set up a 5g sterlite tank on a bookshelf on one side of my room. At first the temperature fluctuated but for whatever reason after a while it pretty much settled at 78-80. This year I changed it out...

    banana for these fish??

Do you blanche the apples? Ok, I tried an 1/8" slice broken into 3 pieces. The first piece that I put in, well, it floats! lol Luckily I was able to catch it. I weighted it down with part of a plant anchor and put it in the dish. Everyone's scampering around trying to find the food, they...
