    Video of my Rainbow Tank

I hope not. They are all males. The Bosemani do get pretty large. Those guys are about 5 years old and looked like minnows when I bought them.

Mixing Rainbowfish Species in a School

Personally I prefer a mix. I like seeing flashes of different colors throughout the tank. Too many beautiful species to keep only one. In my tank I have 7 different Rainbow Species, and am always on the look out for something new as well. I've kept Rainbows for quite a while, and they all...

    Rainbow Fish

I can only say what works for me. I run two Rena XP3's. One could easily handle the tank, but I like having the extra filration. Also, I only clean one filter at a time, so the other does not get disturbed and no interuption in the biological filtration. I point the spray bars towards the...

    Rainbow Fish

It's a mostly Rainbow tank. Have a couple of Roseline Sharks, some GBR's, and a couple Bristlenose as well. All were raised from about 1.5" when purchased. It takes a while for them to mature, but when the colors come out it is worth it.

    Rainbow Fish

I think you can house far more Rainbows than mentioned here. In my 70 gallon, I have 15 Rainbows, 2 Roseline Sharks, 4 GBR's, and a couple of Bristlenose. Tank has been up and running for 3 years, and everything is super healthy. I do run heavy filtration and have lots of water movement...

    Rainbow Tank Video

After a long lay off, I got back into the hobby 3 years ago. Before I got started, I spent a lot of time on this board researching everything I could. The shared knowledge here was extemely valuable. It made my start up go smoothly, and has resulted in a happy, healthy, easy to maintain tank...

Australian and New Guinea Rainbowfish Pictures

My fully mature Neon's are only about 3". In addition, they are thin and don't create much bio load. They are peaceful, and may not do well with aggressive species. Some more room to swim might be nice, but due to their small size they probably would do fine in a 35.

Australian and New Guinea Rainbowfish Pictures

Kurt, Good to see another Rainbow Fish enthusiast on the board. You took some nice pictures. Rainbows are in constant motion, so it can be tricky getting a good shot. I've had a Rainbow tank running for about 3 years now. Couldn't be happier. Happy, healthy, colorful, peaceful, active, and...

    Tell me about Rainbow Fish

Rainbows are very colorful, medium sized, peaceful, and easy to care for. Provide plenty of filtration and water flow and they will be happy. I've had my Rainbow Tank up for three years now. Love the variety of colors darting around the tank all day long. Here's a vid of my tank. Hope that...

Unknown rainbowfish species. I need some help with identfying. (video)

I have a small Axelrodi right now that is less than two inches long and is showing nice color. They yellow up at a pretty small size. Whatever you have there looks pretty large to not be showing more color. But who knows, give it a little more time and maybe they will color up. Right now they...

    Sinking Driftwood

I had the same problem some time ago. I bought some suction cups and screwed them into the bottom of the wood. Then I attached the suction cups to the bottom of the tank, under the gravel. It worked.

    Rainbow Tank Video.....

The wood came from a LFS here in SE Michigan. This particular store has lots of large pieces. When i first got it, it was a floater. I ended up screwing suction cups into three spots, and stuck it to the bottom of the tank. It took quite awhile for it to stop wanting to float.
