Is there a fish in the world that WON'T snack on baby shrimp?

Well, for the record, I keep shrimp with guppies and Endler's, and I can't guarantee they never eat a shrimp, but I've never seen it happen; and I know the shrimp can move fast when they need to (unlike baby snails.)

Says it'll hold up to 350 lbs.. is it safe?

Keeps the shelf dry, because particle board will absorb water, swell and weaken. I have a tank on metal shelves with MDF decks, and I DIDN'T cover them, and I wish I had, because now I worry... EDIT: Hey Swayer, you posted this twice!

Says it'll hold up to 350 lbs.. is it safe?

If it looks like a reputable manufacturer, and your own judgement tells you they look sturdy enough, including the wheels, then I would say yes. 350 lbs is a couple of people, isn't it? Per shelf? How 'bout you test the shelves out with a couple of friends! (I think the board is definitely a...

Is there a fish in the world that WON'T snack on baby shrimp?

Yes, khulis should ignore shrimp. Probably guppies, Endler's, dwarf rasboras.

    Weird growth

Okay, weird growth fans (you know who you are): Just found this in one of my tanks, inside a concrete block, which normally doesn't get any light. Hopefully nothing to worry about. Maybe a fungus? (The white thing is a cuttlebone.)

What is happening to my loaches??

I'm sorry to hear about your kuhli, and I hope the other loaches are okay. Keep testing for an ammonia spike, since what pinkerts says is worth considering. I'm not sure I'd make the same call as pinkertd - that the shock of the big water change was the problem - although it is possible. But...

how long could a betta hold its breath?

Maybe Poo Dragon () is a bit shy, and that's why he was hiding; but he still needs to come to the surface. Some floating plants might help him feel more comfortble.

Shrimp is pregnant, what to do

Thanks for the info about Calvus. You've got a few weeks' grace, and the plants will help the shrimp. I'm sure the Calvus are fast, but the shrimp can 'jump' fast too when they need to, so I reckon you can get a colony going I've read that females may display a new 'saddle' when the eggs are...

What is happening to my loaches??

Well, I want to keep this thread live in hope that someone expert will have a look. It certainly doesn't look like ich to me, and I don't remember seeing photos of anything like it either. In answer to your question, (Wouldn't all the fish be affected?) if there is a problem with water quality...

    what causes pinholes in leaves?

Don't want to hijack the thread - I think this is on-topic. This is some sort of sword I bought six weeks ago. Its been growing about a leaf a week. The leaf on the left with holes is new growth; the ragged one on the right is original (the plant was a bit battered when I got it). I have also...

What is happening to my loaches??

Gee, I really hope someone can help - your poor kuhli! I don't recognise what might be wrong with it from the photos, unfortunately. It would be better to get an ID before you start trying to treat it. The only thing that occurs to me, if only loaches are being affected, is some disease that...
