so for my 75 Im gonna do an amazonian blackwater creek biotype. i want plants but i dont like using large amounts of electricity. so i hear theres sword plants and vasillineras in this ecosystem. so maybe subdued lighting will be ok for these types of plants? im gonna use co2 and eco substrate...

how are you able to syphon the water into your tank, my problem is that dumping the water in from such a height disturbs everything in the tank, uproots my plants makes holes in gravel , scares the fish

i empty water into 5 gallon buckets, then fill up 5 gallon buckets with warm water from the bath tub, then add conditioner and any other additives to the water in the buckets, then stand on a stool and try to dump it in causing the least amount of chaos as possible, my stand is about 3 1/2 ft...
