pleco and plants my pleco kept digging up my plants at night and eating them. Since I started putting a leaf of lettuce a day in the tank, he leaves my plants alone. The pleco loves the lettuce. He prefers the lettuce over the plants.

I heard use tons of table salt, hot water and a nylong abrasive sponge. The table salt is supposed to be a disinfectant.
