    Stock my 45

You might want to look into barb species. Tigers, black rubies and Odessas all come to mind. Large bodies tetras are another to look into. Stay away from bottom dwellers like cories and loaches as they will forever be in the sharks territory. Adding caved for the shark will make it feel more...

Nice fish! That's a great picture. What kinds of plants are you growing in those tubs? Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    Krebensis Cichlid Pair

I have a pair that did that when they were first introduced. After finally spawning they settled down. Try are now working with batch number 3 and haven't had any major issue since. Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    small fish & daphnia

Daphnia only live for so long. Their offspring will be eaten. Unless this is a huge tank with very few fish of any size, I don't think it'll work. Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    Telling endler and guppies apart

It kind of depends on what kind of guppies you have. Many of the female fancy guppies will have some color especially on their tails. If not then I'm not really sure what to tell you. Is there any reason you need to separate them? Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    fat cory

What are your water parameters? Is the fish acting normally other than the bloating? What types of food were in the feeder and how often we're they being released into the tank? Are his scales raised at all? It may be just over eating which could be taken care of by stopping regular feedings...

    EBJD question

At only 4 and a half inches, odds are they are (or at least he is) too young. Just give it time and keep an eye out for aggression. Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    Tank maintenance and filtration question

I agree. I rarely if ever vacuum my sand bed. And I haven't had a problem yet. Although if you won't e disturbing the substrate regularly, you may want to throw some mts in. Many people here give them away if you go to the classified ads. Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    Rare Dwarf Crayfish

Alright thank you! So far I've been feeding a few different frozen foods and algae wafers. Once they ground thaws out I'll probably throw in a few diced earthworms but until then is there anything special that may help breeding? Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    Our new pal

He's beautiful! Hope you have a fenced in yard. I bet it'd be hard to catch him if he decided to take off after something! Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    Rare Dwarf Crayfish

Aren't they?! I saw them and had to have them. If they are in fact P. vasquezae then I will be introducing their offspring (fingers crossed) into my main tank, as they are supposed to be both fish and plant safe. So what does everyone think of the temp? They are in an unheated tank which is...

Can I add any more fish to this setup?

I wouldn't go for any more large fish. Maybe some medium sized rainbows or giant danios. Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    dwarf Gourami gender help!! (pics)

I think you're right. The female looks pretty thick right now which means, provided you don't have too much current, you may see some breeding soon. Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    Rare Dwarf Crayfish

So far the pictures aren't coming out very well, I think I'll try again when I feed tomorrow. I don't know for sure but right now it's the only thing that makes sense. And pictures and videos of this species looks exactly like what I have. Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    Rare Dwarf Crayfish

http://www.planetinverts.com/Procambarus%20vasquezae.html I do believe these were mislabeled at the store and finally an English site mentioning them! I am still finding more information in German than English but this is a start! Thanks again! Sent from my iPod touch using...

    Rare Dwarf Crayfish

Thank you! That helps a lot. I'll look into that spelling to see if anything else come up. I originally based their care off of a Mexican species which inhabit high altitude lakes so they are currently living in 65-70 degree water. I can up that. This is my first attempt at breeding crays...

    Rare Dwarf Crayfish

I've had a pair of these for a few weeks now and went back to the lfs and picked up another. Apparently I mixed up some Latin names. I have 3 Cambarellus vasquezi. The problem is, there is even less information on them than the other species I had them confused with. I've googled over and over...

    Clear Shrimp things?

Try googling pictures of scuds and copepods. If its either of those they are harmless and are a sign of over feeding. Hth Sent from my iPod touch using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    care for java moss

You shouldn't have to supply anything. I've been keeping java moss and crypts alive in a tank that hasn't had any other living thing for about 4 months. I have a filter but I rarely do water changes and its been fine. The moss (and the crypts) should be fine for the time being until you can get...
