He is normal in every way except coloring. He does seem unhappy away from his buddies, if it is just genetic I wil put him back in he 20g, He used to have normal coloring for about 2 years.
AI have several white clouds in a 20g planted tank along with several red rasboras and 3rosy tetras. They have been together for 2 to 3 years and all were healthy. one of the white cloud's head turned very black and his brown body color faded. After about a month, I put him in a 7gtank...
The unidentified plant is a banana plant, The bananas have rotted off and it grew roots. I have one in my aquarium and thats what happened. It now looks just like the one in your tank.
I have a planted 20G long with a 30" reflector that takes 22" bulbs. I cannot get 22' bulbs at my local pet shop, I know I can get them on line, but the shipping is costly. Is there a way to put 24" "guts" in the 30" reflector? I can get those bulbs easily.
I've had these crypts (c. wendtii) for four months and they were growing very well. They were shaded by a clump of hornwart but it was taking over my tank. I trimmed it back and now the crypts (about 5 of them) all melted, probably due to the increase of light. My question is, will they adapt...
I saw an ad online for a product call "wonder shells". It's supposed to add calcium to your water and be very good for all fish, including soft water speices. It's also supposed to help keep PH stable. Has anyone tried these and do they work?
I think it might be. manzanita is commonly used for parrot perches and is available at any pet bird supply store. It is common in the southwestern U.S/
Has anyone used "wonder shells" to condition their tank water? The PH coming out of my well is about 4 and very soft with low alkalinity. I'm wondering if they would add minerals and raise the PH to about 7.

the goldfish are in an outdoor pond about 160 gallons. The pond has frozen over and she has a bubbler to keep a hole in the ice.. (we're in SC). Last winter the fish were all ok because i t was not as cold. They are not being fed. Only one of the fish is permenatly upside down, the other two...
She does have a bubbler in the pond , but no heater. I could lend her a 50 gallon water trough that she can move to her garage and treat the fish. What type of antibiotic should she use?
I have a neighbor who has deep bodied goldfish in her pond. We have had unusually cold weather (we're in South Carolina) and three of her fish are swimming upside down. Will they go back to normal when the pond warms up? Should she add a heater to the pond? If so, What kind?
