you can always put supports from the stand up to the bottom of the skimmer and refugium. this way the weight is not on the glass so much, it is risky though if u want to have that much on the glass, it could very well break. do something about it.

yea, bio-balls should not be used in marine tanks!!!!! They are like a pump sponge, after about a week they are filthy with stuff from the tank and then they start to produce nitrate like crazy!

I change about 10L every 3 weeks in my 200L tank, its great. I love my refugium, it eats all the nitrates so water changes are only made to re-introduce some of the trace elements that are lost. GET A REFUGIUM!

just try to have a little room between the water level and the bulkhead's top. this way the water dosn't get pushed down and the air is pushed through it, making it gurgle. My pumps have regulators that can be changed, it is easy.
