. i have never, EVER cycled a tank, and have never lost a fish due to disease, is cycling just another way of getting amateur tank owners to spend money? as far as i can see, all of my fish seem very happy.

i have recently taken my convict out of my tank and put into another one because of his aggressive behaviour, i had him in with the lombarda which i recently flushed down the toilet for attacking the convict and basically eating his fins and such, now my jack dempsey has killed my baby oscar...

. i wish i could afford a filter that only needed to be cleaned once a month!

? all i have is a fish tank , with fish already in of course, a ph test kit, and two cheap filters (please dont ask me what they are because i dont know) i clean my tank usually about once a week, always 100% new water and a few drops of chlorine neutral, filters get cleaned every 3 - 4 days...

. i'm asking you because i'm a lazy dumbass and there are only 2 petshops here so obviously there's not much of a range.:rolleyes:

what is the easiest way to measure a fish's length? can you do this without taking them out of the tank? also, how fast do oscars grow?

just got my new tank is $200AU (i think thats about $120US) for a 57 gallon tank with a stand a bargain?

. i'm a fairly new tank owner, dont know a thing about diseases or anything else for that matter. how do i know if there is something wrong with my new fish or the ones i already have? i have just been putting my new fish straight in with the others, is this a mistake? :confused:
