If the color in teh water bothers you get some activated carbon in your filter. I have 3 pieces of wood in my 20g, one was from a LFS, one i just found out behind my house, and the other was from somewhere in the bahamas, my parents brought it back because they knew i was looking for nice pieces...

i have a 20H as well and just got a jager, i think it's a 75W. I have it set to 80 and the tank stays rock solid right there. It also has a recalibration feature so if the temps start not matching up you can adjust accordingly, although i haven't had to use it.

i dont know how reliable this is but one of my cories also got stuck to my filter intake when i first got them, although he freed himself after a few seconds. ever since then they've learned from that experience i guess and now they like to search the intake cover for scraps of food lol

personally i think people are a bit overcritical about fish-in cycling. i did a fish-in cycle on my 20g with some black neon tetras and they were totally fine..you just have to keep up with changing the water. but 14 fish is another story, you're gonna have to change a lot of water on that..

looks really nice in there..funny you should mention the peanuts because i am actually allergic to them, but as long as they don't make it into the food there's no problem.

like the others have said, definitely check out macro mode, it's for nice close up shots. and definitely turn off the flash if you're taking pics through the glass. other than that when i take fish pics i usually set the white balance for flourescent or something like that to get truer colors...

i wouldn't put anything past them..they could still be attached to the inside of the house somewhere. i had a fake tree stump decoration before that was all hollowed out with nooks and crannies and after awhile of not seeing my clown pleco i tried removing everything and still couldn't find him...

is that filter floss on the outside of your filter intake? i have that same filter...does it work well?

yes he does. it's a 20g high. another reason i still don't see how he could be cramped is that it doesn't seem like he's trying to stake a claim on a particular part of the tank. whenever he's swimming around the tank, if he just happens to see a cory facing away from him he will go and chase...
