Well, there was some work done in the building. Dirt, cement, plaster dust plus my regular dust got in the air. My central air unit's filter got clogged there was almost no airflow left, so bad it froze and had to be changed (the filter), two Honeywell towers got clogged, dust went everywhere...

Evanleigh, I hope your ac got fixed and that your fish are fine. I hope you did not mess with the water temp because it would have been a cause of stress to the fish in the situation you described. Also, remember to double check your information, especially online. Keep us posted. also, lol

Here you go: The first 3 sentences have nothing to do with the situation and as such do not help. The last sentence is simply bad advice. Fish are already stressed from being at a higher temp than normal. Your advice to do a daily 50% wc with temp lower than the regular temperature a few...

Very social fish. Mine usually hang out together and when they grow too big, the store takes them back. Useful fish, community friendly, fun to watch... but I never made them the center piece of a tank. I'll have to try that at some point.

Never paid more than 5 bucks for those fish.

I would WC with the same water temp as the tank. I think corys should also be fine.

Great fish, great set-up with the CS. If that's all you have, no need for a heather. My experience with that is the fish gets shy if housed with active swimmers. 7$ do seems a little pricey.

I would stick to Bolivian rams if you want to add rams. They are very social together and they would leave everybody else alone. Plus they have a great group dynamic when in little numbers. And it adds to the chances of getting a couple. Should they breed, they defend very little territory...

There were free swimming fry just a few days ago, but here they go again. I share this because it is the first time the eggs are that color, almost red. So Bolivian rams do eat cherry shrimps. Well just a few of them, the numbers are up.

If I had another tank of that dimension, I would try hatchetfish, ember tetras or microdevario kubotai, a colourful small pleco, lots of attractive moss, a color variation of the cherry shrimp.
