Nice work...The small setup looks awesome. I've done some LED work under the gunwales of my boat and made some cool light up drink holders for her as well. Would like to do something like this on my 29 gallon setup.

Good to see I'm not the only one who has too many hobbies and takes them all seriously! Love to fish offshore/inshore, lakes or ponds...Wherever. But offshore is my favorite hands down. And here is my platform, 2007 Sea Fox. Also into motorcycles and tracking them.

Loved reading this thread. My dad and I had a bunch of tanks back in the 80's and never heard of it either. I just recently learned of the process when getting back in and setting up a used tank from C list... Great thread.

Just picked up a bag today at HD to try in my next setup. I was planning on mixing it with similar colored gravel.

I'm new myself so dont have allot of input on all the parameters(or fish happiness) but I think u did a great job with the build...Nice work.

Just added a few since I started a planted 55 after getting back into the hobby and they seem to eat any plants in there! They are still fairly samall, I'd hate to see my plants when they get bigger! I may have to start another tank for them eventually.

I hope thats not the cause as I just did my 55 gallon as well. Changed from some crazy glow pink/purple that came used in the tank when I bought it to a more natural stone look...No deaths yet but it was only yesterday and there was allot of sediment/crap in the old gravel when we rinsed it.
