I've never heard of Fish V before but a quick search shows it is usually recommended IF you are feeding frozen food that doesn't have the vitamins that regular flake or pellet food contains. What brand and type food are you currently feeding your fish?

Q1 - won't reproduce together Q2 - the female Nerite will lay eggs regardless if there are any other snails in the tank. The eggs may hatch but the young will not survive.

Welcome to AC! I've always used the API Master test kit with the reagents and test tubes which comes with the low/high pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate tests. I also bought the KH and GH tests separately as they don't come in the Master kit.

PVC does not affect water chemistry.

Excellent and I'm glad they will replace the tank for you. It's a shame you got a leaker but I hope to see the new one set up when you get a chance.

Welcome to AC! While I'm not familiar with that particular brand of tank, the installation manual shows that there is supposed to be 3 o-rings on the intake stem and 3 o-rings on the output stem and if they are missing or were pinched when they were installed, this could be why it is leaking...

Use GE silicone 1 or just pick up some aquarium silicone, get the silicone in the cartridge and not the small size tubes.

Prime will temporarily bind the ammonia for 24-48 hours when used as directed. You should dose Prime for the volume of water you are changing if using a bucket or container and can then add it directly to the aquarium.

If the stains are whitish in color it's probably calcium buildup from water evaporation. A vinegar soak would probably help, just soak some rags with vinegar and apply to the frame, let set and then wipe them down.
