Welcome to buying pods every month- that's all Mandarins eat and a tad bit of research before you bought him would have explained it all.
If you cannot provide properly for him please return him before he starves.
These places sell pods-

The only real difference between "reef" and other marine tanks is the presence of corals. These corals need much more intense lighting that other marine creatures and fish, so the initial expense can be quite a shock.
Nanos are tiny tanks (under 20 gallons or so) and are hard to keep as...
I live in hurricane country and face power outages quite frequently. I have battery pumps for each tank for during the storms and a generator for after the storms when we can go back outside.
As you may recall this past year was a doozy for hurricanes and I was out of power for five days after...
It was from an episode of Nip/Tuck- some rare South American bacteria grew from Discus water being discarded through a hot tub drain.
Just don't drink tankwater.
They have awesome rock- you will not be disappointed. Just plan for a hour or so of "critter removal" and rock inspection when you initially receive it. Other than that it is easy.
I have had really good experiences with VividAquariums.com as well as PetSolutions.com.
If it weren't for online fish buying I wouldn't have nearly as interesting fish.
Fish Only With Live Rock.
You can do fish with or without live rock but it is such an effective biological filter that including rock is a very good idea. With rock and a good skimmer you can run a dandy fish only tank.
Are you doing fish only or reef?
Recommendations run around 1½ lbs. per gallon for fish only up to 2 lbs. per gallon for a reef- all this depends on the density of the rock of course.
Do you have somewhere set up to cure the rock, or do you need to buy fully cured?
Sources vary in the...

I think I have black brush algae??
Very hard to remove small blackish clumps of really short hairs- started on a filter intake tube and is now in my substrate! Does not vacuum away.
I need to ID it positively in order to look for solutions...
I've got a tank full of Blue Diamonds... but they are all spoiled to the point I hesitate to sell any of them.
If I wanted a spawning pair it would never happen!
A Grizzly Bear.
You get to eat everything you can see all spring and summer, then lay down for a nice long nap to sleep it off. Then you wake up thin in the spring!
Nobody messes with you and if they do you just bear slap 'em up side the head. No natural predators- just a big old world to play...
I noticed the past couple of days that something just didn't look right in my Discus tank- nothing I could really put my finger on but it just felt different. So today I'm scrutinizing around testing all the intakes for flow etc and see about 50 little baby Discus on the heater and filter intake...
Anecdotally those Figi leathers love the higher alkanility ;)
You should see it dropping within a week or two- much better just to let it go that to try and correct anything.
Welcome to Aquaria Central.
I don't think that you need to get rid of the glass creatures- they are just part of the normal population in a marine tank.
And cycling is great- but you can still bring ich into the system on any fish not quarantined.
Are you following your ammonia...
That diet is inadequate for a Yellow Tang (and lacks variety for the rest even)- he needs greens. That's like offering a bunny steak
Try a piece of nori seaweed in a veggie clip- he should have access to green food most all the time as Yellow Tangs are grazers and need to nibble. Nori...
