I have had this plant forever and I love it just for the fact that it only needs light to grow. Very little Co2 is needed also and it flourishes like crazy. Another thing it does is make above gravel roots on stems and spreads out through out the tank. I have noticed smaller colonies which have...
any links to these brands, there are no LFS in my area. By the way, this cichild has went through bloat and has full recovered. Thats why he is fed only greens. The name of the cichlid flakes I have now are called (Penn Plax) Pro Balance: Cichlid Flake with Amino Acid Additives. On the back here...
I have been feeding him small pieces of lettuce and other small greens cut up yet it seems he is tired of them. What else can I feed him? I have some cichlid flakes and cichlid floating food which I paid like 7 bucks a piece. Can I use these?
Okay, so last night here is what I did...
-Little guy still isint darting or searching for food :(
-I did a 25% water change and cleaned the Filter media
-Then I add half-and-half of table salt and epsom salt (Natural Laxative)
-I add then one tablet of Jungle (Parasite clear)...
Well its not that I did not just research. I have had other cichlids also in the past which could take on flake food and never had a problem. So what should I be feeding this cichlid mainly if it comes back to peace ?
Im thinking it is bloat also, since I only feed this fish tropical flakes and etc since it wont eat more natural things. I think he might die yet im not sure at the same time. I doubt its a Parasite that is killing him, its more than likely the Malawi bloat as you said.
Hello everyone, I have had this one single Cichlid in a 10GL tank since it was a fry. Now it is around 2 inches long (estimate) and it seems the other day when I came home It looked sick. Here are the symptons..
The belly of the Cichlid is way out of proportion. It is beer-belly like and...
I have it and took it out. Its no good for plants if you ask me. No gains at all in my 29G. BUT, it will work better in smaller tanks. Never use it if you ask me in anything higher than a 15g
I have a motherload of brown algae weekly in my 30gl tank. Its all a scavenger tank with some serpaes. Are there any fish out there who eat this menace?
Actually I have in a three-floored house. Im redesigning my bedroom, we just painted the walls baby blue and south of the bed is the aquarium. I have the flat screen Tv right above the fish tank. Im still deciding on what images I will frame on the wall (Mainly game Images) and I still need to...
The tank has now
2 Skunk Cories
5 Aenus Cories
2 Peppered Cories
2 Albino Cories
Once the tank is a little more cycled I will add 2 more skunks, 3 pandas and some other cories, I will be doing landscaping later on as said with elevation in substrate such as hills soon..:D
