I have a 33T that I'm moving a goldfish out of. The wife has always wanted a gourami tank, so was going to see what was available size-wise. I want as many gourami's as possible, but don't want all dwarfs. Is there anything small enough to keep 2-3 of, along with maybe 5 dwarfs, and 6-8 smaller...

If crayfish can get a fish, it will. And they'll be dead. Your ciclids will not be an exception. If your ciclids get ahold of your cray right after a moult, it will. And it'll be dead.

I give mine a cooked grain of rice once in a while.... Shrimp pellets tend to be the food of choice. I alternate between a shrimp pellet and (of all things) a pellet of rabbit food. Gets his veggies that way.

The responsibility should be on the stores, not the consumer. Fish are sold to people without educating them first, starting with the whole "only grows as large as your tank." If the store would actually take the time to say "this fish is going to grow as long as your leg," then people will...

I didn't take out the red eye :) One of them does have pink eyes, but the pic I posted was the one with brown eyes.

You don't know the half of it.... we have a whopping 2 places that sell fish. One of them sells neons at 5 bucks each. neither have anything really interesting, just the standard stuff.

Camera is crap, I can't take a pic worth a ****, and the tank is scratched all to hell and gone.... buuuut... LFS claims it's a "gold pleco". Bought it as a common. A little expert help is appreciated.

If I had a 225g, I'd set up an piranha tank, don't know if they're legal in NY though. If they weren't legal, I'd make it into a cold water tank and get some goldfish. If my fiance had such a tank, she's overstock it with plecos. But she's weird that way.
