I am looking for a branchy type - something like this or this.
Main thing: It needs to be small - lets say 8"-12" long, 4"-5" wide and either about 7" high (like the first sample) or less (as in the second).
It's for a 10G so it can't be overpowering.
Let me know how much it would cost...
Well without trying to be overly corrective but...
1deg F = -17deg Celcius...
I am german but live in NY - so i constantly have to think in F/C. Last winter we had a night with a windchill of -40F - which interestingly equals -40C.
Whatever temperature scale you use... that was BITTER !!!!!!
For a moment i was confused cause i couldn't find New York state on the list.
So hygrophilia polysperma is a noxious weed on the federal level ? Lovely....now what ?
I just saw several pots full of it at a local LFS.
I posted this on a different, more plant oriented forum but i thought i'd offer it here aswell.
I would like to sell some:
Riccia (at least 3"x3" - more than likely more)
Dwarf Sag (10++ plants between 2" and 4")
Water sprite (many small plantlets and a few up to 8"+ plants)
I could...
Reflectors sure help - but don't double the light output.
Depending on the type/ quality of the reflector they can do little or a lot... but people still count in terms of "wpg" even with a reflector.
Well...
i'd say (unless i read your post the wrong way - didn't read your previous one) the lighting you mentioned isn't really enough.
At least if you are aiming for 2wpg. (15W over a 60L=16G => less than 1wpg).
Of course this might not matter if your plants are choosen accordingly.
Light...
???
It almost certainly does not "instantly" turn into water and oxygen.
After all the hydrogen peroxide you can usually buy is diluted (with water) H2O2.
H2O2 is a very strong oxidizer - but what concentrations would be necessary to cause gill damage ? No idea.
I know people use H2O2 to...
I don't know if it was suggested and i overread it - but...
if its just for 1 or 2 days why not keep the house warm by using the furnace (or whatever you use to heat the house). If i had an emergency like that i'd keep the house at 72 for that time (we usually let it cool to 58-60 at night)...
50%.
I turn the filter off while i am working in the tank (all the equipment is on a switch). When i do a big trim/ rearrangement of plants that can take quite a while - never had a problem with "bacteria dieoff".
I have a thread in the classified section. No no - not trying to advertise - but i posted a big pic of several seagarden silk plants (best looking IMO) that show them a bit better than the pics on commercial websites do (and what they look like after a while).
