    Districhodus Fasciatus

Here is a link to some videos of this fish: http://www.****************/catalog_pages/wild/distichodus.htm#top2 I had a group of Dist. Affinis. The problem with them and every other fish in that family is that they LOVE to nip the other fish in the tank! Even themselves. They are...

    Districhodus Fasciatus

Just to let you know.... These guys are aggressive. They WILL nip and harass your other fish tank inhabits. A Min tank IMO would be 120 gallons and larger... Also.... When they get older (and bigger) their brightly colored orange and black stripes will fade.

I dont know why your tinfoils is hunting serpaes???? Mine does not even bother the white cloud mountain minnows. I also have 4 small petricola catfish and 3 cories in there and they arent even bothered... Do you feed live food to them? Maybe that would be the reason??? I feed flakes and...

I would try to get ALBINO tinfoil Barbs. They really are a nice fish. Pearl white with red eyes. You do need to keep them in groups of 3. In your tank, they wouldl look magnificient! Red tailed black shark, help.

My full grown RTBS totally ignores all my bottom dweelers in my 60 gallon (4 petricola catfish, 5 loaches). The only fish the he/she goes after are my boesiman rainbow fish. Using Rainwater.

Rainwater? with our fish? No way! I think its even dirtier than the sink water. I live in the san fernando valley (in the Los angeles area). All the chemicals and smog in the air would pollute the rainwater. I would never risk it. UNLESS you live in an area with no smog and away from any major...

    Online fish supplies

The only problem with Big als is this: It takes a week and a half to get their products if you live in California. Dr fosters only take a few days with the same shipping costs. I go through Big als because they are the cheapest, with the best customer support

Anyone for glowing fish? "Night Pearls"

We alter fish ALL the time by breeding them with other fish. MANY fish you see in the store are actually been altered in some way from its Natural species. Of course, these fish (glow in the dark fish) has been genetically altered I think. THATS a whole different can of worms in...

how to set-up a shellies tank?

Pretty simple really. you use about 1 inch of sand (not the fake cheap stuff found at some LFS that are extremely sharp). You must also have lots of small shells. I would add a rock or 2 with holes in it to. I was going to make my 10 gallon tank to a shellie but decided not to. Why? because...

    kuhlis or cories

I would have to say kuhli's! I have 10 in my 10 gallon. They are shy, but when they do come out, they are blast. Cories are more laid back. You would have to have a large group of them so they can achieve their natural behavior.
