Ok, I forgot I had a bottle of AquaSafe and *it* had tsp directions (1 tsp for every 10 gallons) so I treated it with that instead of just the regular dechlor. :) Kim

Hi...sounds like the problem will get better then? I have no idea if my water is hard or soft...I'm about to buy a test kit that will tell me. This is probably a dumb question, but if you have hard water, would installing a water softner be good for the fish as well? I have no idea how water is...

The sand is all settled...but there is a small amount of dirt in there too...when it settles on the bottom I can see it..its a very very thin layer of brown on top of the sand layer. I also put a layer of poly floss in the levels so that hopefully it would catch any sand particles...they would...
