    Bottom Dwellers for Diamond Tetras?

    1) Synodontis cats would rater have "Hard Alkaline" water, just the opposite of the Diamonds. 2) Most Syno cats grow big, 5inches plus. 3) Adding more females will not stop the aggression. I think probably they are just hungry, I have never seen aggressive diamond.

    125 gallon stocking plan

I would not add all those dithers at the same time, discus are "Fidgety". Go with the 24 Cardinals first. Not sure if the Curviceps will get along with the Rams, but like you said, it is a big tank. Marble Hatchets are my most loved of Hatchets. With some floating plants (real or fake)...

    Hi

    Hello. Can we help you?

Asking people who have had success in keeping cardinal tetras.

Sorry, I do not think your lights are the problem. My tanks have over 500watts of light over them and my Cardinals are fine.

Asking people who have had success in keeping cardinal tetras.

I change about 50% weekly. When I get lazy, I may skip a week, but rarely.

    CO2/pH controller

IMO, Java moss and Java fern does not need CO2. They do not grow fast enough, but you are correct that it may help. From my experience, Sword plants are not really that easy to grow. From my experience, they do like brighter lights, need root food, and do not like their roots to be crowded...

    Unknown worms

Very informative. Thank you. I would lower you light time to about 8hr instead of 12. What kind of plants did you get? Did they have a name?? I would also up the Water Change amount to at least 20gal per week, 30 would be even better. The worms I am not sure, but with so many I would...

Asking people who have had success in keeping cardinal tetras.

I have had Cardinal tetras for many years. They live about 8-10 years before I have to replenish. Nothing special, I change water once a week. My PH is 6.8 (I have CO2). IMO food is important. My fishes eat 60% frozen and live worms about once a week.

    Sad news, but strange

Thanks all. I do have a very heavily planted tank, but I prune and do WC every week. You would think that once, I would see him hang on the front glass. Even though I do not remember getting him, I am sad about it. :(

    Panda Cory discolor

I am concerned that your Nitrates are zero. It is impossible to be at zero with your water changes. I would get a better test kit. Are there other fishes in the tank?

    My loach jumped out

Loaches do not have scales, so easier for them to get fungus from wounds. Do not do anything yet, but I would keep an eye on him.

    Panda Cory discolor

Need more info. How big is the tank? What is you water parameters? How long have you had the fishes? Do you change water? How much, and how often? What do you feed them?

    Sad news, but strange

Came home from shopping today and saw a dead fish floating in my 100gal. Felt sad, but when I needed it out --it was an Otto cat. I did not even knew I had an Otocinclus in my tank. He must have been almost 10+ years old. Wow, but sad.
