If you like the radiant floor idea why not try 4 heaters. Put foam insulation on the inside of the lid. And insulation over the entire tank when you are not looking at it. Not home and sleeping and ****.

You can put a small heater in an hob filter.

Whay would be some good tank mates for these firemouth and a Salvini in a 55g tank. Tiger barbs? White tetras? Red tail shark? Some rasporas? Can gouramis go with new world cichlids?

Son I have the ADI kit but it may have expired it is from 2006. So I heard about the tetra 6 in 1 test strips. Are they just as good? They have a great rating on Amazon.

They are about the same size. The LFS informed me that the salvini was semi agressive and that they would be Ok. So should I get some orher fish to off set the impending salvini aggression?
