Atapsia
I think I've discovered it's a atapsia. I have used lemon juice as suggested on a couple of threads. It works like a miracle. At least they appear to be gone so far. I'll keep an eye out for more. Thank you.
I am trying to figure out if these white things attached to our rocks and have tentacles are the things that I don't want in my tank. Seems like they are spreading kind of fast, and if they are not good, I want to eliminate them before they over run the tank.
Thank you.
I just got this Pink Tailed Trigger a week ago. I just could not resist. He is stunning...but he is disrupting our tank. Had to take him out. If anyone is interested, please let me know quick. I paid $44.50 for him, and am willing to let him go for $25.00. Cannot ship; local pick up...
I have an anemone that is not doing too good. I took him out of the tank yesterday, decided to put him by himself to see if I couldn't get him going somehow. First I found it hard to feed him because he always wanted to be upside down or in another ackward feeding position. And to be honest I...
Driftwood
I have a great piece of driftwood, do not have pic, but will post this evening. It has a tunnel through a portion of it with a couple of holes as well for plants or fish to play. It would be $20 plus shipping about $15. I am just guessing here, would need to figure better pricing...
I have been trying to find out if there is a difference, and if so, what is the difference between a metal halide aquarium light and a metal halide grow light? Are the spectrums different? Can a grow light of the same wattage let's say a 400 for example be used in place of a aquarium light...
Thank you for your reply. Actually I had downloaded and printing Raising Brine Shrimp to Adult about a week or so ago prior to even posting my question on Aquaria Central. It does look like alot of work, when I get a bit more time, I am going to look at it closer, and try it. I have a 29...
I am looking for probably 2 - 3 metal halide light fixtures. Lights do not need to be included. Additionally, since these will be over my saltwater tank, and it sits in my living room, they need to be somewhat attractive, although I am a great fixer upper, and can paint or whatever to suit my...
Too many fish in tank?
Seems to me that you may have too many fish in the tank. When you buy more fish, they fight for territory, and the weakest and/or newest usually are the ones that go via I am bigger and healthier then you. Additionally, when you add water or do water changes are you...
This is probably a dumb question, but here goes anyway. I had been trying to raise brine shrimp it seemed with no luck. I turned to Aquaria Central and during my research, I read the obvious, "they are so small are you missing them." Well much to my surprise after viewing with a magnifier...
I have been looking at the outrageously expensive aquarium lighting options. I ended up buying an orbit extreme with 260 watts total from ebay and have purchased moonlights separate that are on a microprocessor that allows the lights to mimic the actual lunar cycle. I am, however, considering...
How long do you boil your wood?
May I ask how long you boil your driftwood for? I have a piece of driftwood, but just soaking it did not make it tank ready. It is a great piece with tunneling, and a couple of holes for a plant or two. But tank got totally messed up. Thank you.
I love the look of some of the Discus, but really don't need or want to set up another tank. Any body know the possiblity of putting a couple of Discus in with my freshwater tank listed below. The Silver Dollars are about 3 1/2 plus inches from front to end of fin end and have been going now...
Am looking for a 36" x 18" glass tank cover for an Oceanic 58 gallon tank. There is no center brace, so needs to be one piece. If know where to get one, please let me know or if someone has one, how much? Thank You.
