they grow so slow that you could have 3-4 in a 25 for proboably 2-3 years. but they arent the easyest fish to keep so if your not experienced i would pass.
3 250-300watt heaters should be plenty, i know many people that use much less on their big tanks with no probs. powerheads also help distribute the heat throughout the tank, making the heaters work less.
i bought a sheet of 1/4" acrylic from home depot, cut it to fit in my tank, and then drilled a bunch of 1/4" holes in it spaced 2" apart. it works great and extremely strong. plus it looks nice because its clear. i buried the bottom of it in the gravel and then zip-tied it through a couple holes...
i have a 150 gallon glass 72"x18"x27.5" aquarium and a 100 gallon acrylic 60"x18"x22" curved seamless corner with built in corner overflow, black back and wood canopy and stand that i would like to trade for a 180g 72"x24"x24" with stand or a 210g 84"x24"x24" with stand. i will trade both my...
uh so ok i didnt mean it would actually swirl like a toilet but no matter what there would be some strong current in the tank if it actually was 130gph. 130gph on a 10g tank is 2.17gpm, thats over 20% of the water turned over per minute in a 10g, so yeah thats an overkill if you achieved 130...
the problem is hot water heaters are made of copper. feeding 30-40 p's you should expect to lose atleast one or two during the frenzy every time you feed.
some wood sold as driftwood is just regular wood attached to slate, i bought a couple pieces and they have been in my tank for over 3 years now and they still float like corks. another piece i bought from my lfs sank like a rock as soon as i put it in the tank.
as far as im concerned just the goldfish makes it overstocked(maybe not now but deffinately in the future as goldfish can get 12" and are extremely messy), but other than that i cant say.
 that has to be some of the worst info i have ever read. its all about gallons AND space, the more gallons you have the more stable the water perameters will stay. the more fish or larger the fish the more gallons you need to be able to properly maintain your water. when people talk about...
pretty soon all those fish you added will be killed by the fahaka and then your fahaka will proboably die due to poor water quality because he will get WAY to big for that 25g and needs much more room and even in a 120g it needs to be overfiltered alot because these are extrtemely messy fish.:wall:
maybe its because she doesnt feel comfortable in that small of a tank. she is already about outgrown that size tank especially if its not even filled all the way. does she swim around or is she acting nervous? ive heard of asian aro's going over 3 months on hunger strikes and be ok.
i would like to trade my custom 300g acrylic tank with built in sump for a 180g glass tank with stand. the tank is 72"wX56"x18"t and has a sump system built into the back of the tank and is extremely easy to service. this tank does have a small 1" crack on the bottom panel, but IT DOES NOT LEAK...
