thanks. those tanks are no more as I sold them when I moved. but my 150g should make a much better home for my new barbs that I am growing up. still not 210g per barb though haha
I want someone to apply the 'endler's livebearer stocking formula' to my old 90/65g stacked setup and tell me how overstocked I was.. in units of endler's..keep in mind the barbs in the top tank (the 90g) were 18" long..
:rofl::rofl:
it does depend to some extent on what you want to keep.
I love many plant eating fish for example, so I have to have plastic plants in my 150g, but have a fully planted 65g with plant safe fish.
both look good, but different:
yeah, I saw this story a while back too.
what the hell were his friends thinking?
"Hey look, Fred's passed out!"
"Quick, lets shove this live eel that I happen to have lying around up his Ahole!"
how stupid..
just a word of warning, when I used to work at the LFS, customers would be trying to decide between same footprint (but different height) tanks all the time.
eg. should I get the 75g or the 90?
125 or 150?
180 or 210?
in literally almost every case where they decided to go with the...
I have a 30" tall 150g (like a 125g but 6" taller) and I love it.
yes, reaching the bottom is a pain in the butt - but thats why they invented step ladders and reach assists. remember, you spend all week looking at your tank but only about an hour or so a week doing the actual maintainence...
I am trying to figure out how they could have knocked the glass top into the tank.
the only way to knock it in would be to have literally picked it up out of the slot and then dropped it in..
just climbing on it could not have knocked it in.
they must have flipped it out of the slot...
lol
nice to see that you got an Aqueon tank. nice thick glass and two strong cross braces. the marineland/perfecto version of the same tank has thinner glass and flimsy cross braces. great!
hey now, some of us 150g owners may want to fight you on this!:grinyes:
we would say the height of the 180 is the same as a little 65g:silly::grinyes:
lol
if it helps, here is an old shot of my 20g long with simple double T5s, normal output.
given that its 12" tall, growing everything, even red plants, is relatively easy compared to other tanks.
