If that's correct, the way it's worded it's illegal even without the regulator.
I would think that would be a reason to think you would have the conversation?
Why have you seen so many blow?
Has this been reported much with aquarium hobbiests?
In your link to cheap lighting you mention the recycling programs and being able to purchase bulbs for a dollar. How does this work? You're saying you turn in your incandescents and they offer the CFL's for free or a discount?
Not sure I follow you. If you are raising the temp of your house by a couple degrees to heat a tank that's certainly more costly then using a heater in an aquarium no?
This is the same reason it's cheaper to run an electric space heater in a closed room than to raise the temp in the whole...
No problem.
To the OP, I found this link recently :http://www.aquariaplants.com/waterchemistry.htm
Might help clear up some questions. I know it helped me.
Also, check out the barrreport.
Actually that isn't how it would work in a planted tank, which is what I was speaking of.
Sure, you can "build a foundation" with a fishless cycle, but keep in mind the tank adjusts to what it's stocked with. If you fishless cycle and then only add a few fish the tanks bio capacity is going to...
True, I meant to put that disclaimer and then forgot. Still would depend on where you travel, if it's by car, who has the best rural coverage and all that. I just don't think it's as simple as Verizon is the biggest.
Did you happen to get my PM? I saw that you were in Ohio as well, so I...
Yeah, the pooh goes in the sponge, but they aren't the best mechanical filters so much will turn to detritus in your tank.
Also, you said you clean it real good every 6 months. I don't know your stocking and feeding habits, but that's quite some time. Be sure not to clean it too well either...
I'll be interested to see your pics as I'm thinking of making a DIY rack.
One thing is though, doesn't MDF break down when wet? I'm sure it will be ok if you are carefull, but I don't think it's an ideal medium, in case of leaks and spills.
I'm not sure why you would need to test this often and for all those parameters in a FW planted invert tank.
If it's properly planted, stocked and fed, I see no need. It's good to test when establishing the tank or if you do any major changes in feeding or stocking, but after that I'd just...
Gas cheaper then electricity? I would think the cost of running an aquarium heater would be cheaper then raising your home temperature.
Also, are you saying to run your entire light cycle at night? Or just leave them off during the day and turn on for just a few hours at night?
Look further down on this page and you'll see a guy with the 1500 model that had the same issue.
Seems that he need to press the primer button harder and more times then the instructions indicated.
Hope this helps.
I see what you are driving at now.
Have you noticed this in practice? Meaning you feed them something without calcium and then notice the shells decline and then improve with a water change?
Do we know the shell discoloration to be a lack of calcium or could it be some other water condition...
That's cool, I thought you were saying it was still worthwhile to use it in that scenario.
I'm new here and haven't really checked out the planted tank area yet so I'm not sure what methods are popular here.
I've not used these products, so I can't say for sure, but I've heard that their...
