Careful adding them (wild) to any tank w/ other fish. Even though you treat them ahead of time they could still contain eggs with bacteria unaffected by the meds. Quarantine for several weeks if possible. :)

Most algae is healthy for the fish and they like it. It will not hurt your aquarium. I don't like the look so I remove all algae & provide algae wafers occasionally. :)
