i keep bristlenose plecos with my goldfish aswell. works out fine. as for the snails, get a nice group of assassin snails to take them out. i dont think there are any loaches that can go in with goldfish except dojos and ive never known a dojo eat a snail yet,not in my tanks anyway.

same here, i never use tap water, just incase it kills any of my bacteria, i dont see the point in taking the risk so i re-use the tank water, saves on my water usage too so win win for me.

35 gallons isnt really enough for the normal run of the mill goldfish you have, so i wouldnt go adding to the bioload if i were you :goldfish:

85 is far too hot, it will stress the fish and reduce the oxygen levels in the water. i dont even keep my tropicals at 85, let alone my goldies. fingers crossed the last ones make it. good luck.
