i know this is an old thread but i figured id post up.... i have a rubber lip in my cichlid tank and he does perfectly fine.... the fish dont bother him and he doesnt bother them..... and hes cool as hell to look at :)

i have a 150 that they will probably be going into later on, the cichlids i am looking at are just various cichlids at the LFS and are very small..... i have a good amount of lace rock and stuff for them to hide in, the tank has been going for about 2 1/2 weeks i have a few community fish from...

i am thinking of getting some electric yellows, some electric blues, maybe a peacocks... and others...

i did a search and didnt come up with anything... maybe im not looking for the right words i dunno.... anyways i am going to set up a 30 gal with some cichlids and want to know what the best PH and other water parameters would be for them.... thanks chris

look for a local stone floor and decor place.... i got 120 lbs of slate and various rocks for like $20, then smashed and chose what i wanted in the tank..... boiled it in some hot water for a while..... let it cool and added to my tank.... looks great and has had no ill effects on my tank as of...

its funny cause right now the redtail gets picked on by the rainbow mostly... none of the fish bother the puffer..... they are fed bloodworms and flakes once a day... i dont see how he gave me bad info.... i have only had 1 fish go belly up since i set everything up and all my levels are...

im going to look into trying to get a new trim piece.... its deffinantly not just a cosmetic issue... it spreads pretty bad when water is added to the tank..... thanx for the ideas!!

ok well i added a dwarf puffer a few days ago and he seems to be getting along great in my tank :) here are a few pix of the tank

ok so i got a 72 gallon reef ready tank and the top plastic piece is cracked at the "divider" looking thing in the middle..... when i fill the tank it does split this crack bigger.... i dont want the tank to break... what should/could i do to fix this?? i was thinking about trying to fiberglass...

sorry, i let it run alone for 3 days with stability, prime, and neutral regulator to get the tank atleast somewhat prepped...... then added a few zebras into the mix.... let them swim around for a few days before added more fish.... its been a few weeks now and all is well so far, i had 1 rose...

either a target or a dwarf puffer..... and i was gonna wait to get the puffer till after the crayfish grew a lil more......

i let the tank cycle for a week and a half before stocking it, and have done 1 25% water change.... 1 of my buddys works for an aquarium showcase store so he has helped out a bunch and given me a few hints and pointers..... but he hasnt delt with many puffers so he wasnt sure about them... i...
