don't worry about the water from the store being that you didn't let the tank set for a few days do a 30% water change every day for about 2 weeks then 1 30% water change once a week

just starting out you should get just a few cheaper the better if you start out with the more expensive fish they will probably die the cheaper fish are easier to keep i'm sure you will get some similar advice don't get in a too big of a hurry
