    My Christmas Present

Just wanted to post a quick update as I haven't been on a lot lately. For Christmas this year my other half replaced my tank and stand for me. I was starting to have some structural concerns with my stand, and since I had to empty the tank, I thought why not replace both. So one day, emptied...

    Suggested Powerhead Placement

There is no real way to judge how exactly they should be placed. It is a lot of trial and error. You don't want a sand storm from the current, however you want to keep deitrus from settling on the bottom. you also want to have some quiet areas in the tank. Try moving them around to try and...

    Hitchhiker ID Please...

IMO Sea urchins feast on that beautiful coraline algae. They also get big and are clumsy. They knock corals and rocks over. If you are going reef, I would say get rid of it, if you are just going fish only make sure your rocks are steady.

:thud: I was in the kitchen just a moment ago, and my yellow tang, jumped out of the tank and hit the floor. I put her back in the tank quickly. Has anyone had this happen? Do you think she will be ok?

    75 Gallon Reef

I haven't been around in quite some time. I started a new job and use the computer heavily during the day, and most of the time don't feel like using it when I get home. The tank is doing very well, so I wanted to show an update of some photos. I was going to post this in my old post, however...

    Zoos OK under PC?

I think they will do ok. I have a bunch of different types, 75 gallon 2x65 watt actinic and 2X65 watt daylight. They would probably grow faster with better light, however, I think they will still do ok and reproduce with what you have. Just my 2 cents

    Base Rock Cycle

Just a quick note... I was looking at those pics, and I wanted to make sure you knew. The ro/di unit needs to have its filters replaced prior to using it. At leas 1 of them is bad.
