Actually, some monitor lizards are definitely tameable, including some of the larger ones, which just require more work. Savannah monitors are definitely tamable, as are ackies.

The smallest monitor grows to 8 inches, the largest 9 feet plus.

I feed mine bloodworms, mysis, cyclops, daphnia, krill, and glassworms. They also love the HBH bites. They loved hornworth in my tank, though they obviously enjoy a lot of bottom cover with smaller, more peaceful tank residents. Watch out for chytrid. Quarantine!

See, the only thing I don't get is that they're primarily carnivorous but they're going for plant matter in two posts. I mean, mine eats the spirulina when I put it in there, but still, lol.

lol, Fish don't eat vegetables. Might want to try out a meaty recipe for the betta, though that's going to be a bit more tricky. Congrats on the success, those are probably some happy little buggers!

I have owned a regular paradise fish, sparkling, licourice, honey and dwarf gouramis. I like gouramis. My petstore got in spike-tailed paradise fish and I really want one even though I have no place to put one.

You should probably count on this, I just wanted to tell a funny story. My FI got one that was trained to eat freeze-dried bloodworms. When he switched to frozen, the puffer actually refused to eat for a little while. They're so crazy.
