Some different temperate marine tank inhabitants. Here's a few shots showing the diversity in my jewel anemone temperate marine tank...fretsaw weed growing naturally on the tips of an old fan coral,a yellow / green encrusting sponge and a red tube worm.

You're correct on the camera change....just used an ordinary Fuji digi-cam for most of my shots over the past couple of years, but recently changed to a Canon DSLR....much better quality on the macro shots.

I was really lucky to see this happening....just caught a cloud in the water out of the corner of my eye and grabbed my camera asap...missed quite a lot, but at least I managed something. They may have been spawning in the tank regularly....who knows!

This unique spawning of jewel anemones in my temperate marine tank happened at mid-day under reasonably bright lighting, these animals reproduce by dividing and I can find no information on the Web that describes jewels doing this,(their close relatives,the tropical corals do this once a year at...
